Approximately 4 million people live in Vienna-Lower Austria-Burgenland. If 4 million people donate 1 Euro, we can help all families. Without compromise.
For 40 years, we have been supporting families with children who have cancer.
forty years ago, there was only one IV stand available on the ward at St. Anna Children's Hospital. For many children, this meant little movement and a lot of time in bed. Some mothers affected by this refused to accept it.
You took the initiative yourself and raised money for additional infusion stands, allowing children to stand up and move more freely during their therapy. What began small back then has grown into a strong network today, supporting and accompanying families through one of the most difficult times of their lives.
Founded by parents who have been through it for parents who have been through it, because we know exactly what they're going through.
We finance services that would otherwise not be possible:
Mobile oncology home care
Mobile psychological support
Social workers on the oncology wards at AKH and St. Anna
Direct financial assistance for families
Parental and grief counseling
Siblings
Aftercare group for parents and children and much more.
The need is greater than our resources. We are helping, but we could help more. It's not commitment that's lacking, but financial means. Aid should not be a question of budget.
