We support families from day one. Through treatment, through everyday life, and through everything that comes after. For children, parents, and siblings.
In 1986, affected mothers and fathers founded the Children's Cancer Aid Parents' Initiative to provide the best possible support for children and adolescents with cancer and their families.
Kinderkrebshilfe Wien-NÖ-Burgenland was the first initiative of its kind. Subsequently, the research institute at St. Anna Children's Hospital emerged from this. .
The focus of the activity is in Vienna, Lower Austria, and Burgenland. In 2018, it was renamed Kinderkrebshilfe Wien-NÖ-Burgenland.
In close cooperation with St. Anna Children's Hospital GmbH – Center for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and the University Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH), numerous projects have since been implemented and unbureaucratic direct assistance has been established – both on the wards, day clinics, outpatient departments, as well as in the daily lives and home environments of those affected.
Kinderkrebshilfe Wien-NÖ-Burgenland consists of a small team that works tirelessly for children and adolescents with cancer and their families. In addition, there are many volunteers who offer their time and labor.
