For the 16th time, families supported by the Children's Cancer Aid Vienna-Lower Austria-Burgenland are spending a free recreational holiday in Maria Wörth, thanks to the invitation of dedicated landlords. The event, which Max Pokorny, The initiative, founded by [Name], owner of Hotel Seehof, has become a cherished tradition over the past 16 years. For the families affected, the vacation week means far more than just relaxation: it gives them precious time to recharge, provides hope, and creates unforgettable moments together – far from the often stressful everyday life.
A special highlight of the vacation week is the family reunion with the official reception by the municipality of Maria Wörth on August 25, 2026. In a relaxed atmosphere, families can exchange ideas, strengthen each other, and forge new friendships.
During this reception, the municipality of Maria Wörth will also be recognized for its long-standing and exceptional commitment by the Children's Cancer Aid Vienna–Lower Austria–Burgenland if „"Community Supporting Children with Cancer"“ Outstanding. With its own community plaque, this special honor will be publicly displayed in the future and will serve as a symbol of solidarity and social responsibility in the community.
Once again this year, all children and teenagers can look forward to thoughtfully assembled gift bags. These are sponsored by Kärnten Werbung, the Wörthersee-Rosental region, Raiffeisenbank Kärnten, and the municipality of Maria Wörth, and will be presented during the festive reception.
