From December 6th to 8th, 2025, Podersdorf am See was entirely dedicated to charity. The Podersdorf Culinary Tourism Association invited guests to the Benefiz Weihnachtsklänge am See (Benefit Christmas Sounds by the Lake) for the sixth time – and was delighted by the large number of visitors and a new donation record.

All three days of the event offered guests a charming Advent market with lovingly crafted handmade goods and numerous culinary delights. From homemade Lángos and handmade Palatschinken to freshly brewed mulled wine, there was something for every taste.

There were moments of joy, especially for the youngest visitors: On December 6th, St. Nicholas visited the event and surprised the children with small gifts. The Punch and Judy show, which was a great hit with the little guests, also provided additional children's laughter.

A big thank you goes out to all the musical groups and artists who performed on stage free of charge despite the wintry temperatures, creating a festive atmosphere with Christmas songs and musical performances. The band „Stromlos“ on Sunday evening and „Die Edlseer“ at the grand finale on Monday created a particularly jubilant mood and a great willingness to donate.

The commitment of everyone involved paid off: A new donation record was set this weekend. A total of €26,000 went to the Children's Cancer Aid Vienna-Lower Austria-Burgenland.

The anticipation for the next event is already high: The benefit Christmas Sounds by the Lake 2026 will take place from December 5th to 8th, 2026.
